Afternoon networking session: Placemaking in the Nordics

- Network and learn what is happening in Europe and the Nordic countries in placemaking!

As a follow up to the Cities for All conference of last April Future Place Leadership, STIPO and the European Placemaking Network are happy to invite you for a Nordic placemaking networking event and working session.

– Learn what is happening in Europe and the Nordic countries in placemaking.
– Explore how we can work together in projects and exchange best practices
– Discuss what the Nordic countries can bring and take from European and worldwide partners.

A more detailed program will follow the week prior to the 27th.

Invitations are sent to Nordic participants of the Cities for All conference, and network partners of STIPO, Future Place Leadership and the European Placemaking Network.

Why this Nordic event?

There is a growing interest and new energy in placemaking in the Nordic countries. The JPI funded a coalition of parties in Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Netherlands and Austria to strengthen a European placemaking toolbox. Cities like Uppsala, Stockholm and organisations like Vasakronan are working with placemaking. We are co-operating with cities such as Oslo and Vienna on experimenting with the latest placemaking tools. Placebranding, safety, tactical urbanism, placemaking in newly built areas are among popular themes.

And there are more trainings and projects all over Europe.
