Lovisa Bohlin (International House Gothenburg) and Lisa Andersson (International Citizen Hub Lund) are seasoned professionals who took city-Level support to the next level.
The critical success factor in guiding newcomers, dual-career families and spouses is finding a job that matches the skills and experience built up in home and other countries.
Julia Karlberg, HR & Relocation hero at Coretura
We were given an inspiring overview of the services for partners provided for by the employer on the one hand and the favourite items from the International House Gothenburg in their basket. The close cooperation between the organisations has decreased the time to work of hires and their partners ánd benefits both in terms of retention rates and the added value the internationals bring to the region.
We started their slot by asking our dear guest speaker for feedback on the programs offered by the international hubs. We fully understand and respect that they were not eager to be less than appreciative but still……. They just would like to have even more sessions to help the partners find a job by learning ‘how the system works’ and warmly introducing them in the business networks.
Thank you Julia.
Coretura, a relatively young company with a startup-like environment headquartered in Sweden’s tech hub, Lindholmen. Making impact on how the world moves.
Interesting to learn how their focus on partners makes their recruitment and retention efforts pay off! And as Julia stated, the company would definitely be willing to pay for the services and contribute to the development of the portfolio.
Birat Bhattacharjee, voice developer at Kaisa – a SaaS company in customer engagement.
Speaking of which…. Birat, a customer of the International House in Gothenburg.
Birat highlighted the specific experience of landing as a partner, with support that is different from the guidance you get as an employee. After sending numerous applications, he realized learning more about ‘how the system works’, is the first priority. Networking and warm introductions are key to be seen.
It takes a village to raise a child….. It takes at least as many to make professionals feel at home as a newcomer. Read about the people that helped Birat land a job and gave him a sense of belonging.
